horses for our horseback ride between
La Fortuna and Monteverde – plus we are the

along Lake Arenal.
Our horseback ride is recommended for horse lovers and adventurers of all
levels.
We take a very scenic and safe trail along the Arenal Lake where you’ll get
several glimpses of the famous and very active Arenal Volcano and ride
beside lush and beautiful rainforest.
The lake trail is safe all year-round and is the fastest
way to get up to Monteverde. Plus we have
excellently-cared-for-horses – guaranteed!

Duration: 2 ½ hours by horse for about 5½

Desafío Liquid Lava Arenal Volcano Tour
Hike through lush rainforest with an experienced
naturalist guide who will point out things in the primary
and secondary rainforest that lines the base of the
Arenal Volcano.
You’ll then arrive at the observation point -- the closest you can get to the
base of the volcano -- and wait for the sun to set.
As it starts to get dark, on clear nights you can see the amazing lava flow of
Central America’s most-active volcano, and if you're lucky, you may be able
to hear explosions or big lava rocks tumbling down the side of our behemoth
volcano.
Get an outstanding view of Arenal Volcano by night.
Our local hot springs, such as the elegant “The
Springs Resort & Spa” are beautiful locations to sit
and soak while enjoying the tropical gardens and
steamy nights. The Springs has restaurants and
swim-up bars, spas for massages, several different
temperature hot springs, natural pools, waterfalls,
and swimming pools.
Departs everyday:
3:30pm or 4:00pm Returns: approx. 6:00pm (without
hot springs)
Includes: transport, guide, 1.5-2 hours of an easy hike
(although with some muddy sections and a little uphill), entrance to private
reserve, and volcano viewpoint with beverages.
What to bring: a big smile,
a sense of adventure, hiking boots or sneakers, bug repellant, and camera.
