The hotel was constructed and is operated by the owners themselves. The goal of the hotel is to make guests comfortable in a foreign environment and to have them feel at home in the hotel. Many guests have been heard to exclaim, "lt's nice to be back home."
The hotel has two vans and provides tours to different point of interest such as the Poás Volcano, Sarchí, Lankaster Gardens, La Paz waterfall, Arenal Volcano, etc.

This inn-like hotel has 25 rooms: 11 standard, 9 superior, and 5junior suites; all equipped with color T.V., private bath, 2 queen size beds, carpet, and hot water. Buena Vista offers the Quetzal Room Restaurant for fine dining as well as a cozy bar and gift shop to please the most discriminating taste. An outdoor pool with scenic views of the central valley and surrounding coffee plantations is available for your enjoyment. Standard Rooms: Standard rooms are on the 1st floor and one on the second without a balcony. They are comfortably large for four persons. There are two queen size beds,.Rooms are carpeted and have a private bath. Unlike most hotels the two bed lamps have fifty watt bulbs so it is comfortable to read. There is a writing desk and cable TV.

Deluxe Balcony Room: The deluxe balcony rooms are similarly equipped but are more private. The balconies afford a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside, coffee plantations, three volcanoes, Central Valley, San Jose and Alajuela. There is a fantastic view from every room. The balconies are ideal for reading, relaxing, or enjoying a bottle of fine wine.

Junior Suite Rooms: The jr. suites are larger than the deluxe, balcony rooms. The rooms are furnished with comfortable wicker furniture. They have two queen size beds or a king and there is room for an additional single bed.


Sun Deck Room: Is a huge jr. suite with a balcony that measures twenty-four feet by seventeen and a half. It faces directly the Poas Volcano.Guests enjoy the beautiful sunset in the West.There are two queen size beds and a single. This is for persons that are demanding in their accommodations and amentites.
